The South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB) is a ‘one-stop solution’ for independent information and assistance, giving neutral advice on all aspects of hosting and organising any business event in South Africa. SACIA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SA Tourism in terms of which we collaborate to promote the adoption of safe business practices in the events sector.

They're also committed to promoting the professionalisation of the events industry by encouraging industry professionals to earn a SACIA designation that recognised their skill, knowledge and competence.

• Event Liability Insurance: This protects event organizers, venue owners, and sponsors against third-party claims resulting from bodily injury, accidental death, or property damage during an event. Under the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act (SASREA) of 2010, having event liability insurance is a strict legal requirement in South Africa for specific gatherings. It also covers product liability, such as food poisoning from catering or issues with merchandise sold on-site. Organizers can utilize their digital platform, EazEvent, for quick online quoting and automated policy processing.
• Contingency & Cancellation Insurance: This covers financial losses, lost revenue, and expenses if an event is canceled, abandoned, postponed, or relocated due to circumstances beyond the organizer's control. This includes protection against severe weather disruptions or unexpected artist non-appearances. Notably, iTOO partnered with the iconic Comrades Marathon to deliver robust cancellation and contingency coverage.
